We’ve been living most our lives in a cyberpunk paradise.

The world at the moment is confusing, there is a huge level of information about almost every topic but it is impossible to know for certain what is and isn’t true. Disinformation is the term of the 2020s but with the loss of objectivity, it can be hard to know what anything is.
What I can say for certain is that we are already living in the Corpo world and have been for sometime, it just isn’t as sexy as the aesthetic offered in the neon, Bladerunner, cyberpunk future. It is easy to be tricked into thinking this isn’t the world we live in because well no flying cars or robots bro.
At one point there was hope the internet, bitcoin, and blockchain offered us new ideas but one by one our heroes were taken down destroyed those who dared push back were eliminated, the goal here is two-fold in this humble writer’s opinion one to remove the idea of if you can see it you can be it, the second to remove all hope for the future. Yes, this is going to be a pretty black-pilled article, but later in the issue, we will have a positive one. maybe.
The concepts I’m going to express may be too many for just this one piece so this will most likely be broken into parts.
“As I mentioned before, exposure to true information does not matter anymore. A person who is demoralized is unable to assess true information. The facts tell him nothing, even if I shower him with information, with authentic proof, with documents and pictures. …he will refuse to believe it… That’s the tragedy of the situation of demoralization.” –Yuri Bezmenov [1983]
The brave new world
Since the inception of the idea of ADHD in children we have begun drugging our kids, with vast numbers of new diagnoses added to the list so that big pharma companies can profit at every point of your life, this has grown in scope in recent years with even more ideas of what could be wrong with a child and how to fix them. I won’t give exact details on what I mean here but one with the right frame of reference may already know. SOMA is real not in name or a single form but in many insidious ways all designed to steal yourself, be it as an adult or child they will get you eventually. These companies that manufacture these drugs are too big to fail and arguably more powerful than the government, seems pretty dam cyberpunk to me.

The co-opting of the “counter-culture”
This is perhaps one of the saddest facts of our world, movements that once meant something have been reduced to mear marketing opportunities, most people can see right through this right now as I write this it is pride month, and a large amount of the western companies have a pride flag logo, but their Arab counterparts don’t, never has there been such obvious pandering. Like most sane people I of course support the LGBT movement you’d be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn’t or at least tolerates it. Open anit LGBT sentiment in the manner of actual discrimination is so unbelievably rare in the west that regular witch hunts are required to keep the companies that profit off this movement alive and yes the charities that once did a lot of good for these movements now use them as a cash cow. Seems pretty cyberpunk to me.
One place I saw this in a recent work of media which made the point I am making is THE BOYS here is a screenshot of it, if you watch it you’ll understand the point they are making. Without becoming a review for the show it hammers this point home very well. In a way that should make people think about how the companies in our world act.

The Orwellian joke
I’m not going where you think I am with this, the MSM loves to call things Orwellian without really understanding what this means. The fact this is the book that people believe is somehow prophetic of our time is the greatest joke most people just think the book is about a totalitarian government, it isn’t it is about humanity lost, hope gone and by mentioning this book over and over again they remove its meaning. 1984 is not about how it happened it is about when it is already done as a warning it is useless because it presents a very set group of ideas and events to look out for with details of none of them. It has become a weapon of disinformation itself.
What’s the solution?
Nothing it is over we live in the Corpo cyberpunk world, we have for a long time. Those who break the flow are unpersoned, killed or worse, some names, Julian, Edward, John, Ross just a few that should maybe ring a bell. That isn’t to say all hope is lost But reaching out and changing the world is a fool’s task right now we have one small hope in Elon Musk but Franky placing hope in one man is again an opportunity for them to break your spirit even more. This is the only quote that keeps me going and by the way I’m sorry for the bleak outlook but it’s not all that bad, we have pretty cool phones…
“The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it’s real because that’s how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, and it’s very brightly coloured, and it’s very loud, and it’s fun for a while. Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, “Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?” And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, “Hey, don’t worry; don’t be afraid, ever, because this is just a ride.” And we … kill those people. “Shut him up! I’ve got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real.” It’s just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok … But it doesn’t matter, because it’s just a ride.” – Bill hicks
